One of my favourite gardens in the Cotswolds is the Rococo Gardens in Painswick. It is a perfect day out.... beautiful gardens, extraordinarily good cafe, unique follies, great seasonal events and- of course- their famous snowdrops.

Something I love about the Cotswolds, and England in general, is coming across a nearly intact 15th century illumination like this one in the tiny church of St. Nicholas in Teddington, as though it were nothing of note. I find things like this to be treasures. And I had to include the very unusual carving that greets you as you enter!
