Welcome to The Cotswolds!

I love the English Cotswolds and think everyone should visit this beautiful place at least once in their lifetime. Having lived all over the world and traveled as much as possible, I still think that this little part of England is one of the world's greatest treasures. This site is dedicated to helping spread the word and encourage sustainable travel to the Cotswolds.

Belas Knap Long Barrow

We took a nice hike the other day that went through an abandoned farm near Charlton Abbotts and over to Belas Knap.  Very interesting place to visit- its a fully intact neolithic long barrow dating from around 5000 B.C.  If you look closely, you might be able to see the ghost that we saw when we first approached the structure.

Eastern Cleeve

I took a very interesting walk around some parts of Cleeve Common I hadn't visited before. The views are hard to capture, but I caught a few good ones on my phone's camera.  I'll be back for more soon!  We saw a very interesting abandoned barn, and descended a very steep valley into Breakheart Plantation.  Found a few nice Geocaches as well!
